 Visconti has completely re-styled its Opera Collection with an emphasis on the naturalist and esoteric tradition, with all new colors, style and technique. In its origins, the word “Opera” referred to a “product of the human mind…a dramatic, creative work”. Carrying this tradition, the Opera Elements Collection is a marriage of human activities in harmony with nature and the elements surrounding our existence. Visconti has utilized a layered, slightly translucent resin in four elegant colors and patterns. Each pen’s body appears different from its cap with its white, wavy nuances, resulting in a distinctively different presentation. The four classical Elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth are prominent in the four available patterns. Indeed, a fifth Element—White, signifying Ether or Transcendence, is evident within each of the four Element patterns. Visconti has introduced a new technique with this collection, the “Hook Safe Lock” system, which enables the user to lock the cap of the fountain pen and rollerball with just a quarter turn.
